How to Make an AI Rap Video

Making an AI rap video takes five steps: pick a photo, get a short verse, turn it into a vocal track, make the photo rap it, and export a vertical clip. You can do each step in a separate tool, or use one tool that runs them all.

Step 1: Pick the photo

Use one clear, well-lit photo with a single face looking at the camera and the mouth visible. Selfies are fine. For pets, the whole head should be in frame. Avoid sunglasses, hands over the face and heavy filters. Only use photos of yourself, people who agreed to it, or your own animals.

Step 2: Get a short verse

Four to eight bars is enough for 12 to 15 seconds. Write about something specific to the subject: the cat that knocks cups off the table, the friend who is always late. Rhyme the ends of the lines in pairs and keep each line short so the mouth movement stays readable. Ready-made verses are on the AI rap lyrics templates page.

Step 3: Turn the lyrics into a rap track

An AI music model sings your lyrics over a beat. Give it the lyrics and one line of style, for example “hard boom bap drums, aggressive fast battle-rap vocal” or “modern trap, deep 808s, confident vocal”. Ask for about 12 seconds. Do not ask it to sound like a specific real rapper: that is how AI covers get taken down (see the Eminem cat story).

Step 4: Make the photo rap

A lip-sync or reference-to-video model takes the photo and the track and animates the face so it raps each word, usually with head nods and gestures on the beat. Most of these models accept up to about 15 seconds of audio, which is why the track in step 3 stays short. Ask for a vertical 9:16 frame.

Step 5: Export and post

Download the MP4 and check that the audio is in the clip. Add captions with the lyrics if the platform supports it; viewers often watch muted. Post the funniest line first.

Doing it all in one tool

Separate tools mean three sign-ups and a lot of copying files around. Rap Video Generator runs steps 2 to 4 for you: you upload one photo and get a 12-second rap video with an original verse and beat. Lyric-video tools such as Revid or SunoMV are the better choice when you already have a full song; they are compared on the tools page.

Questions

How long should the rap be?

For a lip-sync clip, 12 to 15 seconds: four to eight short bars. Longer tracks have to be split, because lip-sync models usually take 15 seconds of audio at most.

Why does the mouth not match the words?

Fast double-time flows, mumbled vocals and side-on photos are the usual causes. Use a front-facing photo with the mouth visible, slow the flow down a little and keep the vocal clean.

Can I make my cat or dog rap?

Yes. Pick a sharp photo with the whole head in frame and the eyes open. Short, punchy lines read best on an animal face. Templates are on the lyrics page.

Where do I post it?

Vertical 9:16 clips fit TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Put the joke in the first line: viewers decide in about two seconds.
